Chalet Chintalaya is a lovely, privately-owned chalet sleeping up to 12 people. It sits in an enviable, riverside position in the heart of Chamonix and close to all the towns amenities, shops, bars and restaurants. It sleeps up to 12 people in 5 bedrooms (all ensuite). "Chintalaya", the ancient Sanskrit word meaning "place for thoughts" has recently been refurbished and offers a contemporary yet homely feel making for a relaxed stay. On the ground floor, the chalet comprises a large dining room, a modern kitchen, a heated boot room and a study/office with desktop computer and Wifi internet access. There are also 2 ensuite bedrooms on this level - both can be either doubles or twins. On the first floor, there is a comfortable lounge with wood burning stove and a large Plasma TV with Bose sound system and UK Satellite TV. There are 3 ensuite bedrooms, all of which can be made up as doubles or twins and one of which has a small annexe with bunk beds. The chalet is just a 2 minute walk from the Aiguille de Midi cable car and has spectacular views of the Mont Blanc massif. Chintalaya has the fantastic combination of being extremely central yet peaceful due to its position next to the River L’Arve. it's operated as self-catered during the summer with the option of a catered package during the Winter.
